SOLARSPORT YOUNG LION ROARS TO A FANTASTIC WIN! SEPT 08
Since young Ben Hingeley gained Solarsport sponsorship for his kart racing Championship pursuits earlier this month he has been unstoppable. Sporting a whole new Solarsport branded Pit area and Team van, together with Solarsport branded kart, he has brought a ray of sunshine to a thrilling Championship. Racing at the Glan-y-Gors Racing Circuit in Wales this weekend, on a rain soaked track, young lion Ben shook the kart racing establishment!

With a blistering field of established top racers gathered from all over the UK, this new star stamped his mark all over the Championship. Good results in the Qualifying Heats meant a good Grid slot for the Final, normally a foregone conclusion between the two Championship leaders, Seb Morris and Jake Walker, but they reckoned without young Ben!

The race started as usual with Seb Morris easily drawing away from the pack with Ben slotting in nicely right on his tail. Lap`after lap Ben was tucked behind the leader Seb Morris who must have been wondering why he couldnīt shake Ben off, but still they lapped nose to tail!

Ben wins Final on Novice plates
April 13th 2008
Bens first visit to Hooton Park, Normaly on a WTP engine Ben had to borrow a Comer engine to enter the event. He qualified 6th position for the final in a grid of 18, not bad for a novice on his first time to the track.

Ben made a good start and was up to 4th by lap 2. A battle between Ben, Ryan Morgan, and Luke Barker began but it wasnt long before Ben was in front, and stayed there winiing the race by 00.01.87 seconds.
ON A NOVICE PLATE. It has never been heard of before and has caused quite a stir as the officials did not know which trophy to give Ben, 1st Novice or 1st place. After quite a delay, and alot of looking in the rules it was decided to give Ben 1st Novice Trophy. (we think he deserved both)

Well Done Ben,
